When fighting normal mobs I cam herd them into groups of 5 or more and with good positioning take down 5 6,7,8 enemies at once and keep them either downed or stun locked the entire time. Here we can use it in a similar way, we focus on avoidance but while avoiding the attack try to position ourselves and stay behind the boss at all times. It could really benefit from some kind of contributing skill such as a war cry that boosts either ally defenses or attack/cast/move speed. But if you're able to master it it can be very VERY strong solo or in a group or in PvP. They aren't meant for utility they're meant for damage and a little crowd controll and they do it pretty well.

I've played Zerker in every Beta and now in full release.
I do really love the stun, and we get 2 stuns in a later blessing, pvp time then boys. My Berserker is currently level 19, the only class I've tried, but when you go up against any boss you can not finish any combo, and his healing skill he gets with the third blessing is absolutely trash. Dodging for Berserker like you said lends more to positioning and over all mobility than actual avoidance with the exception being boss fights.
